John is currently working on his PhD in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at Central European University. He received his MSc from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in the Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy program, after graduating from Corvinus University in Budapest with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics.

He has extensive work experience in the energy sector, where he has worked in various fields, from energy diplomacy to an international oil company, to a public utility. He works as a consultant at eclareon and at ideas into energy. He currently oversees the ongoing project on dialogue between the automotive industry trade unions, members of civil society and policy makers.
